CAPPUCCINO, the Rudbeckia that received 3 awards!

Our Rudbeckia hirta Cappuccino has become a real star! Following Fleuroselect trials of 47 seed-raised varieties and 30 vegetatively propagated Rudbeckia varieties at both the RHS garden Hyde Hall and RHS garden Harlow Carr, both independent panels of judges have conferred a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit on this variety. The conclusion of the jury read as follows: “The large copper bronze flowers were held on sturdy plants giving a superb display”. In addition to the A.G.M. award, the variety was also placed 1st in the People’s choice contest held at Hyde Hall over the summer where the public could vote for their favourite Rudbeckia. Rudbeckia Cappuccino stands out for its very large, bicolor, red-and-yellow flowers, up to 10 cm in diameter, and for its lush foliage that creates a beautiful contrast...

13 years after winning Fleuroselect, our Rudbeckia Cappuccino is in the spotlight !

We are very proud of how our Rudbeckia Cappuccino was welcomed by the public, which awarded it the People’s Choice Award at the RHS in Hyde Hall, England, thus crowning it as the favorite variety of visitors. Already known for its Fleuroselect gold medal awarded in 2008 by a panel of professionals, this variety upholds its timelessness thanks to many assets! Rudbeckia Cappuccino stands out for its very large, bicolor, red-and-yellow flowers, up to 10 cm in diameter, and for its lush foliage that creates a beautiful contrast. It is a wonderful addition to flowerbeds and other landscaping elements as it features a long-lasting flowering period and a good resistance to heat! CROKINI IS RESISTANT TO LATE BLIGHT

Cherry on top - in addition to being delicious, sweet, and productive, CROKINI is resistant (IR*) to late blight! We continue to be amazed! Noted for the quality of its plant and unique taste, this variety has now revealed one of its secrets: its resistance to tomato late blight (IR*: Pi, Phytophthora infestans), one of the most devastating garden diseases. This disease is caused by a fungus that appears first on the stem and leaves, before contaminating the entire fruit. Late blight spreads particularly well in warm and humid climates and attacks most tomato varieties during the summer. CROKINI: a success since its launch CROKINI has enjoyed enormous success since its distribution on the vegetable young plant market. This small, round, cherry tomato has distinguished itself from the competition with qualities greatly appreciated by...

Two HM.CLAUSE tomato varieties awarded the All America Selections (AAS)* "Regional" prize for BUFFALOSUN and CROKINI

The taste of both BUFFALOSUN and CROKINI was highly appreciated. A second benefit is their hardiness and natural ability to resist one of the most frequent tomato diseases in the garden, late blight (Phytophthora infestans) which attacks most tomato varieties in our gardens in mid-summer. These two novel varieties will inevitably seduce a wide audience of experienced or novice gardeners wishing to grow their tomato plants naturally while avoiding the risk of attack by late blight, especially since legislation in several countries now prohibits the use of any synthetic products. Resistance to this disease is particularly rare for small-fruit varieties: this is why CROKINI should once again appeal to a large number of gardeners this year, allowing them to consider their tomato production with greater composure. The AAS prize, awarded after...
